SAGA Cartridges internationally presents their new brand image in Europe at the IWA OutdoorClassics Trade Fair in Nuremberg

The new identity, that was revealed in the United States at the SHOT Show, reflects the combination of a long tradition with a commitment to innovation to develop products for the most demanding hunters and shooters.


Madrid, 8th March 2018 - SAGA Cartridges will present the brand’s new image in Europe at the IWA OutdoorClassics Trade Fair which is held in Nuremberg from 9th to 12th March and is the most important hunting and shooting event in Europe. The new image, based on the colour orange because of its association with safety and innovation, was revealed for the first time in the United States at the SHOT Show celebrated in January in Las Vegas.

As well as an updated logo with a more modern version of its famous hunter target, SAGA will display the new slogan "Connect With Your Target” during the event. With this message the brand aims to reinforce its proximity to hunters and shooters and, at the same time, highlight the capacity of its cartridges so that sportspeople can connect with their prey and clay. The company has also had a new website since January with an innovative design in line with the new image. This platform optimises the user experience and includes a new search tool to find suppliers selling cartridges.

Along with the launch of the new image, SAGA has simplified its product lines, gathering them in categories depending on their range and calibre, with clearly colour-coded hulls. Its aim is to make the most striking cartridges, enabling shooters and hunters to easily pinpoint the product that best suits their specific needs. In doing so, the cartridge packaging has been redesigned based on feedback from the shooters and hunters, including key information for the sportspeople.

"After the positive reaction to the visual identity from our clients, for us it is very important to consolidate the new image at the IWA OutdoorClassics Trade Fair which is our most important European event and therefore the perfect platform for us to do this. We will be seeing clients from nearly 30 countries during the four day fair. Furthermore, the renovation goes beyond the purely visual and also includes a simplification of the product lines that we are confident will be highly appreciated by shooters and hunters”, explains Germán Morales, General Manager of the company.

SAGA has experienced an important change since its origins almost 70 years ago in a small gun shop in Lérida where the cartridges were loaded manually to its current position as a global leader with presence in more than 50 countries in five continents. The new brand image aims to reflect this evolution, being faithful to its more traditional origins, but also to its commitment to innovation to incorporate the most advanced production techniques in order to respond to increasingly demanding consumers.

SAGA’s new identity, based on the colour orange, reflects the combination of a long tradition with the commitment to innovation to develop the products for the world’s most demanding hunters and shooters.

Las Vegas (USA), January 23, 2018 – SAGA Cartridges will present its new brand image at the SHOT Show taking place in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) from January 23rd to 26th. SHOT Show is the most important hunting and shooting fair in North America. SAGA has chosen orange as the predominant colour of its new visual identity because of its association with safety in hunting safety innovation within the world of shooting. In addition, the logo has been renewed with a more modern version of its beloved DIANA Hunter symbol.

SAGA will exhibit during the event the new slogan Connect With Your Target under the new logo, with which it aims to reinforce its proximity to hunters and shooters and, at the same time, highlight the capacity of its cartridges so that consumers connect with their prey and clay. At the same time, SAGA has launched a new website with an innovative design in line with the new image. This platform optimises the user experience and is compatible with all mobile devices.

SAGA has also simplified its product lines by grouping them into categories according to their range and size, clearly differentiated by the colour of the packaging. Our goal is to make the cartridges more recognisable and that each hunter or shooter can easily identify the SAGA cartridge that best suits their specific needs. For this purpose, the packaging of the cartridges has been redesigned according to the comments of shooters and hunters, including in the boxes the most relevant information for the consumers.

The presentation of the new brand image will take place during the SHOT Show that annually gathers more than 65,000 visitors, making it the sector’s fair with the greatest affluence in the USA. SAGA has a booth in the Spanish pavilion, organised by the Armera Association, in which, in addition to its new visual identity, it exhibits its wide range of cartridges for shooting and hunting.
